Do you see the bird that soars above, in the empty sky? She is at peace. Her domain is both: the sky and the land. She is not trapped in any given place. The bird flies to wherever it desires, not subject to any human laws or imaginary borders. She pays only with her effort, by flapping her wings and taking off towards any direction that would please her.

She has no master. She belongs to no one but herself, a thing she wishes. For the desires of men have taken hold over the world. They ravagely claw at power and money, yet can never satisfy their appetite. As the bird takes flight, she sees, in an eagle-eye view, the fumes of war, shaping in the clouds.

There is no end to their craving.

She hears them howling for more. She refuses to partake in any of it. That road is dangerous, and seldom do they return. Man’s hunger for power and money will leave corpses on the plains. A history repeated countless times again.

They step on top of each other, building higher and higher into the sky, entering her domain. Do they not see that they are building their ruin? The stack of cards will tumble and the ones on top will fall the hardest. As for the poor ones below, they will be crushed and buried beneath the chaos.

And yet, they still believe themselves to be sane. Do they not know? Their life has no meaning. The system they call life is broken and they refuse to see it.

What Fools!

They live life as if immortal. They focus on a future uncertain, building for potential tomorrow rather than a fixed today. One horrendous disaster can set them back a millennia. Their plans then will have been for nothing.

They purposefully ignore a thought concealed in the darkest corner of their minds.

They will never be here again!

The few years they have on this earth and they focus on the silly things. The lack true purpose. They forget their families, their loved ones and the things that really mattered.

They often speak of wanting to do what they love, but ironically do what they hate.

How can they not follow their hearts’ desires, knowing that at any moment might be their last? Their life would have been lived for no purpose, no meaning. Their purpose was only money and still, they couldn’t afford to buy the most important thing in the world:

Time.
